ABOUT THE RELEASE

Koala Kam’s Triple Match at a glance

A colorful space-themed triple-match adventure starring Kam.

Kam’s space-themed puzzle game is about finding matching groups while keeping the holding space under control. A quick match can still be a poor choice if it hides the pieces needed for the level objective. Use the guide below to plan selection order, open crowded areas, and decide when a recovery option is useful.

How to approach Koala Kam’s Triple Match

Plan matches around the board goal

Koala Kam’s Triple Match asks players to look beyond the first available set. Check the current objective and remaining space before selecting items, then favor matches that uncover crowded areas or remove pieces blocking several others.

  • Scan the board once before making the first selection.
  • Avoid filling every holding space with unrelated items.
  • Clear exposed sets that open access to multiple layers.

Use a calm selection order

When several matches are available, start with the set that creates the most room. If only part of a set is visible, remember where those pieces are and avoid collecting too many other types while searching for the final match. Deliberate choices reduce preventable board congestion.

  • Recheck the objective after a large section clears.
  • Save recovery options for genuinely crowded moments.
  • Short, focused sessions help prevent accidental taps.

What progression should feel like

Early boards introduce the triple-match loop, while later situations demand better space management and pattern recognition. Progress comes from recognizing which pieces are safe to collect now and which should remain until their matching partners are accessible.

WORKED PUZZLE LESSON

Finish a triple before opening another pair

The holding tray is a limited resource. A tile can look like progress while actually using the space you need for the next match. Compare two selection orders from exactly the same starting tray.

Original teaching example, not a screenshot or a numbered level from the app. The simplified rules below are stated explicitly; use the rules and available moves in your installed game.

The starting position

Assume a seven-slot tray. Three identical tiles disappear immediately when matched. The tray already holds two moons and two stars, leaving three empty slots. A moon, a star, and two planets are all available to select.

Compare the space left after each choice
ChoiceTray after matchingOccupied slotsFree slots
StartMoon, Moon, Star, Star43
A: Select the available MoonStar, Star25
A: Then select the StarEmpty07
B: Instead, select two Planets from the startMoon, Moon, Star, Star, Planet, Planet61

A pair is a commitment

Route B has not failed: the available moon can still complete a triple. But it leaves just one free slot and no completed match. If the next needed tile were covered, you would have little room to uncover it. Route A clears two existing pairs first and leaves the full tray available for the next section.

Apply the lesson to a crowded board

  1. Count the free tray slots before choosing a tile.
  2. Find an accessible third tile for any pair already in the tray.
  3. If that tile is covered, count how many selections are needed to expose it.
  4. Check that those selections fit before committing to the route.

This is a planning habit, not a universal “always match first” rule. Sometimes a different tile reveals a crucial group. The useful question is whether you can explain what your next few selections will accomplish without filling the tray.
