How to use this tool
Measure the app’s data change over a known play period and convert it to MB per hour. Separate one-off updates from routine play; include voice chat in your measurement if you use it.
How the calculation works
Monthly data in GB = MB used per hour × hours played ÷ 1,000
Example
Using 120 MB per hour for 50 hours produces an estimate of 6 GB per month.
Read the result without overestimating it
Add downloads and other apps separately when checking a mobile allowance. Cloud-streamed gameplay can use a very different amount of data from a game running locally.
Why this result matters
Online gameplay, voice chat, streaming, updates, and cloud saves use different amounts of data. This calculator isolates a per-hour estimate for planning.
Tips for a more useful estimate
- Measure gameplay separately from downloads.
- Include voice chat if used.
- Check your carrier's GB definition and allowance.
Frequently asked questions

Not unless you include them separately; this tool models recurring hourly use.
Does every online game use the same amount?
