How to use this tool
Sum session durations in minutes for the same group of sessions you count. Three players can have ten sessions; the denominator would be ten, not three.
How the calculation works
Average session length = total playtime minutes ÷ number of sessions
Example
Nine hundred minutes across 75 sessions gives an average session length of 12 minutes.
Read the result without overestimating it
Two sessions lasting 2 and 18 minutes average 10 minutes, although neither lasted 10. Check the distribution or individual sessions before concluding that most players stay for the average.

Average session length helps describe how players engage, but it should be read with retention and session frequency to understand the full experience.

- Use one consistent date range.
- Remove internal testing sessions.
